Presentation of the speech therapist theses written in the framework of the ComEns project - June 3rd from 20h to 21h30 at the ESAT/SAJ of the ARIST.

Two groups of two students of the ISTR (Institut des Sciences et Techniques de la Réadaptation - Rehabilitation Sciences and Techniques Institute), Lyon 1 University conducted works on the communication of people with Down Syndrome (DS). The two resulting theses, one on multimodal communication of young adults with Down Syndrome and the other on the use of manual gestures in novel word acquisition by children (see titles and abstracts hereafter) we supervised by Marion Dohen and Amélie Rochet-Capellan in collaboration with the ARIST association. The students will present the research they conducted, their results and perspectives for future work. M. Dohen and A. Rochet-Capellan will also briefly report on advances in the ComEns project.

The presentation will be followed by a time for discussion with the students and the researchers.
